SUPPORT BBBSSA
Defend the potential of children in South Alabama by making a one-time donation or sign up for monthly giving here.
We are 100% donor-supported. Every donation goes directly towards creating or sustaining a mentoring relationship between a Big and a Little.
Champions of Potential are our circle of donors who make an annual or multi-year pledge to support our mission. By securing multi-year commitments, we can begin to build a solid foundation for our annual operations and can more accurately plan to increase our footprint of children we serve in South Alabama. Commitments begin with a pledge of at least $100 per month or $1,200 annually. There are also many other multi-year giving options available. This pledge supports the ongoing costs of a life-changing mentoring friendship for one year and is critical to our organization's ability to strategically plan to serve more children and families in the future. For more information about joining our Champions of Potential, please email aimee@bbbssa.org.
FOUNDATIONS & CORPORATE GIVING
By giving to Big Brothers Big Sisters, foundations and corporations benefit the community’s most important asset—its children.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a well-respected brand with a sterling reputation and proven results. Plus, we’re highly rated for efficiency and accountability by a number of independent organizations. In fact, Forbes named Big Brothers Big Sisters to its Gold Star List as one of the America’s ten best nonprofit organizations.
Major investments from foundations and corporations have enabled Big Brothers Big Sisters to connect with young people in unprecedented ways, so they can start on the path to unlimited potential—and maybe even start a business or foundation of their own some day.

In 2016, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Alabama decided to create a new, mission-driven source of revenue. With the help of a local coffee shop and the generous donation of a BBBS supporter, we traveled to Costa Rica to meet multiple farmers and ultimately partnered with Geovanni for our first blend of the Opportunity Bean™. He’s a hardworking, single-process, micro-lot farmer who produces some of the worlds most exquisite coffee beans. Our purchase of Geovanni’s beans gives him the financial opportunity to support his family and continue his masterful coffee-growing techniques that have been a tradition in his family for generations. In turn, your purchase of the Opportunity Bean™ contributes to Geovanni’s success and creates life-changing friendships between Bigs and Littles in south Alabama.
Every penny of your purchase helps us to give our community’s most vulnerable children a relationship that changes their lives for the better, forever. From Costa Rica to Alabama, the opportunities abound. Enjoy our delicious coffee with the satisfaction of knowing you are making a difference in this world.
The Opportunity Bean™ will be an ongoing venture for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Gulf Coast, so keep it in mind for corporate gifts, birthday gifts, and all the gifts you plan to give all year long.

STOCKS, BONDS, SECURITIES
You invest. A child profits. It’s that simple. By making a donation in the form of stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other appreciated securities, you are making an investment in the future of children in your community.
As a donor, you are entitled to take a charitable deduction for the full fair-market value of appreciated securities held longer than one year, and you usually avoid paying the capital gains tax that would be due if you sold the securities.
